In 1Samuel 28, Saul wanted to inquire of the Lord concerning the Philistines who were assembled to fight him. The Lord did not answer him by dreams, or Urim or the prophets. Saul got very desperate and got his servants to get him in touch with the Witch of Endor. This was against the law of God (Leviticus 19.26, 31; 20.6-8; Deuteronomy18-9-14). He saw this vision of Samuel,. who told him that he would die in battle. As prophesied by Samuel, Saul died the next day by commiting suicide.

Never, ever, get involved with spirit medium, witchcraft or sorcery, they will be very detrimental to your emotional, physical and spritual well-being!! This was Saul's tragic life spinning out of control. He had such a good start in the race of life. Now he no longer looked to God for wisdom but to a witch.

He has taken the kingdom from you and given it to your rival, David. 18The LORD has done this because you did not obey his instructions concerning the Amalekites. 19What's more, the LORD will hand you and the army of Israel over to the Philistines tomorrow, and you and your sons will be here with me. The LORD will bring the entire army of Israel down in defeat." - New living Translation
